Part I-Research Paper: Students will be required to write a paper discussing your choice of an emphasis or topic area within parks, recreation, and tourism. This includes looking at the historical perspective of this area and identifying a minimum of one individual in history that greatly influenced the growth or understanding of your interest area. Length of paper should be a minimum of four double-spaced pages that follow APA format. This paper will include class material, lecture as well as outside research. This paper needs to be creatively sourced, using a variety of traditional and non-traditional resources (i.e. interviews with people in addition to peer-reviewed articles).
