you are the junior member on a team of engineers. The team has determined that the bacterial population they hope to use in a new plant design can be characterized by Monod kinetics. In doing so, they learned through laboratory studies that the maximum growth rate of the bacteria will be 0.66 day -1 and that the half-saturation constant will be 64.5 mg L-1. The independent variable in this case is the food supply and the dependent variable is the resultant growth rate. As the junior member of the team you get to document the equation in a spreadsheet
and plot it on a graph! The team decided that the bacterial food supply expected in the new plant will range in strength from 0 to 300 mg L-1.
