A laser beam whose wavelength is 681 nm falls on a barrier containing a pair of very narrow slits. A screen is located 2.61 m from the slits. The ratio is 0.0160 between the intensity at a distance of 1.27 cm from the centerline, and the intensity at the peak of the central maximum. What is the separation between the centers of the two slits? Note that in this situation, the point that lies a distance of 1.27 cm from the centerline still lies on the central peak. The first intensity minimum is just beyond this point.
