1. The pump shown in the figure delivers water at 59°F at a rate of 550 gal/min. The inlet pipe has an inside diameter of 5.95 in. and it is 10 ft long. The inlet pipe is submerged 6 ft into the water and is vertical. Estimate the pressure inside the pipe at the pump inlet.
