Carbon Dioxide (CO2) gas enters a compressor steadily at 10 KPa and 540K with a velocity of 200m/s. The carbon dioxide leaves the compressor at 3MPa and 900K with a velocity of 40m/s. The exit of the compressor is .006m^2. The heat transfer rate from the carbon dioxide to the environment is 0.8 MW. With the change in kinetic energy considered, determine:

a) the mass flow rate through the compressor

b) the power consumed during the process
