Deer mice (Peromyscus maniculatus) have structurally different forms of Hb, depending upon whether they live at high or low altitude. A group of researchers collected deer mice from high and low altitude populations and drew blood from the mice. The oxygen binding properties of Hb from high altitude-dwelling and low altitude-dwelling mice were compared at 37°C and pH 7.4. Data from this comparison are given in the table below.Using the data in the table below, draw a graph showing how the saturation of Hb binding sites changes as the partial pressure of oxygen changes. Points for Hb-B1 and Hb-B2 should be plotted on the same graph. - - in the table indicates no data were collected at that PO2 for that type of Hb.

According to ABC model of floral development, which genes would be expressed in a showy ornamental flower with multiple sepals and petals but no stamens or carpels.
Suppose a biallelic locus in a diploid population has the genotype frequencies: A1A1= 0.59; A1A2 = 0.16; and A2A2 = 0.25.
Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disease that leads to formation of thickened mucus in the lungs, pancrease, and other organs. In the lungs, the mucus impeads airflow and the removal of particulates leading to infection.
Noda and Numa in 1984 isolated the first voltage-gated sodium channel gene from the electric organ of the electric eel. Electric organs contain a high density of sodium channels. Tetrodotoxin (TTX) is a potent neurotoxin that blocks sodium channels. ..
