A large oil reservoir has a pipe of 4 in ID and 7000-ft length connected to it. The free surface of oil (kinematic viscosity = 1 x 10^4 ft2/s) in reservoir is 10 ft above the centerline of the pipe and can be assumed to remain at this fixed elevation. Neglect entrance losses to the pipe. Assuming laminar flow through the pipe, compute the volumetric flow rate issuing out of the pipe as a free jet (assume the jet is at atmospheric pressure).
