You are contemplating your retirement needs. You want to have an annual retirement income of $60,000 in today’s dollars for 30 years of retirement. You plan to retire 40 years from now. How much would you have to have in your RRSP at your retirement age to do this? Assume the discount (interest) rate is 4% per year. Disregard income taxes. How much would you have to deposit monthly in your RRSP for the next 40 years to accumulate the amount in part A. Assume the growth rate including inflation is 4% and disregard income taxes.
