When developing the website we considered a number of factors affecting the wayit will be experienced by its users. We considered the functionality of the webpage and madeit clear that it would cater to the needs of retail traders in the chocolate industry. Wedeveloped different modules as specified in the ‘site content’ written in one of the previousparagraphs. Next we considered the design interface of the website and tried to make it assimple and attractive as possible. The webpage layout is given in the ‘visual design’. Ourhome page is quite easy and attractive as can be seen in the above diagram. It clearly gives anintuition to the users that it is made for chocolate confectionaries and it has two modules userand admin. Once you log into your respective module you are directed to the respectiveoptions as shown in the visual design and the flow of website.Key underlying principles of Human Computer Interaction: While developing our website we focussed on how users are going to interact with ourwebsite and adhered to HCI principals which are as follows: 1. The contents related to the website are being uploaded by the administrators of the websitewho have the real data related to company business and for that purpose the modules relatedto admin are developed. The contents are relevant to the chocolate confectionaries and possess detailed textual information about them alongside. Thus it is easy to read data and getused to the website.2. The dynamic part of the webpage which essentially is updating the content is alsoincorporated in the website which is done using administrator rights. The administrator canupdate any product image, description or he/she can add/delete a product as it is required.3. The contents in our website is structured properly. We have used the combination of textand image for better understanding of the content. The information provided on our websiterelated to a single product goes in a flow as, at first the user is only able to see the image ofthe product and when he/she clicks on it he is directed to a page where detailed description ofthe product is there.-----------------------------------------------------------------How Design features will enhance the business of the companyTo understand the impact of website design features on the business of a company we need tofirst understand why even a website for the business?
