Inview of this, this research explores two key issues. The first is that, is the main essentialportion of CSR being used in the real life by these corporate organisations in developingnations like Nigeria? The second focuses on corporate social responsibility made corporateorganisations the evident victim. Why the federal government of Nigeria been allowed torelinquish their main responsibility to its people? The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between the socialresponsibility of the federal government of Nigeria and CSR. This research also examines therole of the Nigerian government in making sure that corporate organisations operateresponsibly. In order to provide answers to these questions, the researcher focuses on theoperations of Chevron in the Niger delta. "
