  • "AWBS is the main project deliverable which is used to plan the project activities which are used tocomplete the project. It is also described as ahierarchial structure which indicates that what arethe activities to be done for managing a project by the project manager. The WBS structure, usually breakdowns the activities into different sub tasks which is required for the completion ofthe project. The WBS structure helps the project manager to execute a proper planning of all theactivities and to maintain the overall cost which is the estimated cost. It is developed so that theproject manager can understand and estimate the time for the completion of the project.MIS constructionPlanning DesigningTestingFinancialOnline reservationDatabaseUser interfaceSystemNew PCWiringNew staff Install takenNew PC test Link testSystemtestInternalExternal This is the WBS of the development of MIS. In the development of the MIS system, it has threemain activities. The first is the activity for planning for developing the MIS. The planning forestimation of the cost of the resources and the activities which is used for MIS development. Theinstallation of new PC should be there to handle more customers. The wiring or the cablingsystem requires more cost than the estimated budget for the project as installation of more PCsrequires more cabling(Lock, 2004).For handling more customers the resort need to recruitmore staff for taking proper care of the customers as well as the international tourists who cometo the resort. The cabling is needed to for installing computers in the reception as well as theoutside of the campuses for proper communication with the customers. After that the designingof the website is an activity which involves the functional and the non-functional requirements ofthe online system. The designing of the online reservation system which indicates that thecustomers can book a house online by giving all the information in detail. The designing of thedatabase which is useful in keeping track of all the information which is present in the website. The user interface design is useful for proper interaction of the manager with the customersonline. The customers should find an effective solution when they access the website. Thewebsite design should be user friendly and can give quick responses to the customer’s problems. b) Cost breakdown Structure- The cost breakdown structure is a structure which has beendeveloped for having a total cost estimation of the different activities which have been done forcompleting the project(Maylor, 1996).It is the responsibility of the manager to evaluate thecost estimation of various activities and it should be highlighted from the WBS of the projectwhich has been drawn. The resources which are needed for this project can be the people whoare required to have an idea of the MIS system, money for various activities to have a clear ideaof the budget, computer systems which are required to install in the resort. The estimatingtechniques can be the techniques for estimating the resources. The resources can be the physicalresources like the people, materials, money which is required for completing the activities in aproject. The organization of the WBS structure is closely associated with the project. The cost estimating technique which deals with the possible estimation of the resources which have beenused in this project. The WBS, resource rates and the activity duration estimates are the inputcost estimation. The other is the cost budgeting technique which involves the allocation of thecosts of the different activities involved in the project so that the baseline can be developed formeasuring the performance of the project. The inputs are the WBS, cost estimation and theproject scheduling. The other is the cost control technique which involves the factors which cancause changes to the overall budget of the project so that the changes are advantageous for theproject. The cost baseline, performance report and the plan for the cost management are theinputs. The project scheduling tools can be the PERT and the GANTT chart which involves theproper division of the activitiesin terms of the costs and the duration of each activity. c) The performance indicators for analyzing the performance of the project, which has been usedin this project . The performance indicators are applied for this project are BCWS, BCWP andACWP. BCWS is the budgeted cost which is useful for developing the cost estimation before thestart of this project. For example , say the activities which are involved in this project has a costestimation of 1500$ and the estimated duration of the total project is say 56 days. The projectmanager takes the status of the project after one week of the project and the project manager seethat the BCWS= 70 which has been planned. One milestone has been achieved and afterth achieving one milestone the priority work has been completed , which is completed on the 7day of the schedule which is the BCWP and it takes around 120$ to complete that activity.ACWP is the actual cost which has been evaluated for completing the workfor achieving thefirst milestone which can be less than the BCWP which is 100$. In this way the projectperformance of a project can be analyzed. d) The changes in the project can be the technological changes like the website can be mademore attractive for the customers. The website should have a feedback section where the newcustomers can have a look at the views of the old customers. The user interface designing of thewebsite can be more interesting for the customers having a proper communication. The "
