Student Population Considering the student population in this program from past five years, it is assumedthat in the current year the Cockrell Elementary is going to arrange the program for minimumof 50 students. The entire program has been structured for a span of one year divided into twosix months course and each batch will comprise of 50 students, which equals to 100 studentsduring the time, October 2016 to October 2017 respectively. 2.4. Staffing The staffs will be comprised of teachers working in the school and at the same time,and 7 specially recruited teachers from the government will be appointed. The course willcomprise of medical supervisors, parents of the students, and staffs from government’s healthaffairs. Special doctors and physiotherapists are going to be appointed who will takeresponsibilities to teach the special children how to improve their life style and use drugs inemergency. On the other hand, it is also important to mention the number of healthy childrenwho are volunteering in this program to conduct the program and help the special children tobe a part of their education system. The Cockrell Elementary has strength of 2130 pupils. Itcan be assume that minimum 100 of them will volunteer to cheer and organize the programwith efficiency. 2.5. Curriculum and Instruction The specially trained teachers will instruct the schoolteachers to design the course,and the medical supervisors will take care of the health matters of the participants. Thecurriculum will be designed in the following manner: SPECIAL PROGRAM ANALYSIS7? Developing the course material: The Teachers and the management authority will takehelp from the specially trained teachers who have experienced to work with thespecial child. ? Increasing familiarity between teacher and students: At the beginning of the programthe teacher will take sufficient time to interact with the students and develop afamiliarity so that the students can freely ask their queries to them and take necessaryhelps.This step is very important in terms of helping the students to believe abouttheir security during their entire education camp. ? Specially designed learning materials for the children: A set of specially designedlearning, materials have been developed from the end of the teachers and managementauthority with the significant help from the specially trained teachers who haveprevious experience to work with the special children. ? Establishing specially constructed outdoor activities: this step was taken with utmostcare as the special children have limited access or experience about the outdooractivities. Health professionals as well as physiotherapists were invited in order tohelp the physically disabled children. Cares as well as sufficient protections weretaken while designing special outdoor activities for the special children. ? Medical supervision: Proper guidance were arranged to monitor the medicalsupervision of the camp participants. Special doctors and health care specialists wereasked to join in the camp to take special care of the physically challenged people. ? Educating parents regarding future take cares: This is the very new step included bythe management authority. It is noted that the children are hugely dependent on theirparents and the care givers (Alquraini & Gut 2012). Henceforth, the parents need tohave special education regarding the future take care of the special children.SPECIAL PROGRAM ANALYSIS82.6. Coordination The coordination process will begin with interacting with the participants themselvesand the teachers who will be in charge of the activities. The participants will be asked tointroduce themselves to the teacher. On the other hand, the teachers will introduce themselvesto the participants as well as to the parents. After formal introduction the camp program willbegan. During the camp, the teachers will interact with the students actively and developcoordination. 2.7. Monitoring and Evaluation The physicians and the government executives of health department as well as theschool (management) who will take charge of the course will monitor the entire process. Inorder to monitor this program, the government will send someone from the health and childcare ministry. 3. Analyzing the peer reviewed Journals The following five peer-reviewed journals are analysed to present a finding of relatedprograms that has been undertaken.3.1. Journal 1: “Educating Children with Learning Problems: A Shared Responsibility” -byMadeleine C. Will.This article has focussed on addressing the challenges faced by schools in providingthe most effective education facilities for the children. The cases concerning the learningdifficulties among the students have been conducted herewith and have highlighted thefailures in the previous projects. From the above article it can be observed the learningtroubles of educating children could be corrected. According to the section of this article itcan be observed that the most successful education possible for children and youth with SPECIAL PROGRAM ANALYSIS9learning problems. It can be observed that a propagation of legislation and federally funded“special,” “compensatory” and “remedial” learning activities calculated to make sureeducational achievement for these students and the best of motivations were designed forthese programs.3.2. Journal 2: “Outdoor Activity during Class Recess Reduces Myopia Onset andProgression in School Children” by- Pei-Chang Wu, Chia-Ling Tsai The article has demonstrated the effect of outdoor activity during class recess onmyopia changes taken place on the elementary school students. The research highlighted thecase of including students of 7-11 years and more than 300 students participated in the study.Demographic parameters like age, gender, myopia prevalence, and baseline refraction hasbeen included in the process. A significant effect of myopia has been observed by the studyof this journal article. An outdoor action throughout class in school reflects an importantfunction on myopia onset and myopia shift. Such behaviour has an important consequence onthe control of myopia shift particularly in no myopic children. The main aim of this studywas to examine the effete of outdoor actions during class recess on myopia changes amongbasic school students in a housing area of Taiwan is elaborated is this article. 3.3. Journal 3: “Make a Difference at Your School” by- University of North Texas HealthScience Centre UNTHSC Scholarly Repository. This article has tried to make an insight on the special education learning that willaddress the effect of obesity on the children and how, the specialized education program willhelp to eliminate the obesity related issues of the children. The article has effectivelyhighlighted the role of the schools in prevention of obesity among the schoolchildren, whichincludes reshaping the school environment and practically educates the students to lead ahealthier life style and prevent suffering from obesity. This research study aids importance on SPECIAL PROGRAM ANALYSIS10the obesity and its impact on the life. Previous research studies showed that the obesity isvery common among the children with disabilities. Therefore, it is important to help thestudents to understand the impact of obesity on their health. The researchers showed that inmost of the cases the physically disabled children are vulnerable to obesity due to the sideeffects of the medicines. Thus, this article is helpful to provide an insight in the currentreport. 3.4. Journal 4: “Neural predictors of individual differences in response to math tutoring inprimary-grade school children”- by Kaustubh Supekar The subject mathematics has remained nightmare for majority of school students, andnumerical disabilities have been termed as psychological barriers. Hence, this article hasdemonstrated the effort that must be presented by the schools to help children adapt with thesubject as well as acquire mathematical abilities for better future. In this article, theresearcher showed that the behavioural changes of the student can be predicted with thechange of the time. On the other hand, there are several theories that also helps in theimprovement of the marks in mathematics of the students. The findings reflects that thechildren with disabilities may need time to develop mathematical abilities but care and propertraining can improve their mathematical skills. Henceforth, it can be said that the findings ofthis study is beneficial to and improve the education of the disable children in CockrellElementary. 3.5. Journal 5: “Occupational therapy for children” by –Smith O’brien The article has been oriented towards the role of schools regarding how these childrencould be exposed towards new and developed learning process for better evaluation of theirfuture progress.
