A talented andwell managed human resource is the key to make a company successful. Thus managers of today hasto stay continuously up dated with the latest know how about business management. This is becausethe managers have responsibilities toward the society, environment, employee and consumers.Therefore it is sometimes said that the management must be divorced from the traditional way tobecome more creative. As Henry Ford once said, “When a person becomes a General Manager, hehires the specialist and forgets about the details” (Moonman, 1961). In this project an overview of acompany would be discussed that reflects the success story because of the good management. First ofall, the role of manager will be explained. This will be followed by the process of management willbe analyzed. Later, the skills that managers should use will be explored. And finally effectivemanagement and ineffective management will be evaluated. The term “executive” is often used assynonym of manager. It comes from Latin roots which mean “to follow something to the end”. Thusin simple words to see that things get done (Dolan & Stoner, 1985). Managers are those people whomake things happen by thinking, planning in advance for long-term goals to achieve the success peak.Managers influence all phases of modern organizations.
