Organization- Leaders have followers who follow them to get the new achievements and leader givesnew direction to their followers. But the managers have subordinates which done their work to get theright results of predetermined objectives.? Approach to risk- Leaders are risk taking. They look the problems and find their solution even thoseproblems are risky. But the managers are risk averse they make the strategies and policies to do theirwork smoothly and reduce the risk. Question 2- Write any five functions of management?These five management functions are the important means of describing a manager’s job. The importantmanagement function that managers are in charge of implementing in Tesco is as following-? Planning- Planning is the primary function of management in which a manager plans the goals andobjectives and make strategies to achieve the predetermined objectives. ? Its main function is organizing the effective staff.Organizationfunctions related to the structure of organization and use that organization and humanresources effectively to achieve the objectives. It involves the experienced staff, required resources andcoordinated organization. ? Commanding or managing- Commanding or managingis an ability of an individual to manage orcommand their subordinates by their actions and different activities. The success of Tesco depends on themanaging power of the managers and based on the right commands of their subordinates.? Coordination-A successful organization like Tesco the coordination function is very important function.The coordination between the manager and staff, between the departments and within the staff is veryessential.To fulfill the goals and objectives make the efforts coordinated.? Controlling- Tesco works under the huge control. All the functions done under the control of managers.As a manager, an individual has the main work to control the function of the organization for successfulworking. Question 3 -What are the good qualities of a leader? There are so many qualities in a leader which helps make him a leader. The ten effective qualities of aleader is written as following-? Confident- Confidence is the base of leadership. An individual make a leader if they have the confidenceto do the new or innovative things and take the decisions. Only a leader’s confidence helps him tocommunicate their ideas to his followers and other related people.? Passionate- Passion in any work makes an individual a leader. Only a passionate leader takes the risksand makes the organizations. ? Honest- Honesty means the moral character of a leader. It is an important virtue because a leader is a rolemodel of his followers. Honesty includes the truthfulness, authenticity and positivity of a leader.? Cooperative- A leader must be a cooperative person and done the work cooperatively. An effectiveleader has the ability to hear the others view and appreciate them. ? Courageous- A courageous leader always courage their followers to achieve the goals. It is strength of aleader to face the opposition and still encourage the people.? Responsive- A responsible leader knows the needs of people and always try to fulfill them by their skillsand strategies. So, a leader must be a responsible person.? Integrity- Integrity of a leader to give him the strength to tell the truth in any situation. It makes a leadermore honest and confident.? Authenticity- Authenticity is a key quality of leader because only an authentic leader has the power ofinsight and demonstrates initiative.? Focus- A great leader always focus to the needs of the people and his organization. A leader must focusthe others work and make sure that they focus on their work.? Innovative- Innovative thinking makes an individual a leader. So, a leader must have the innovativethinking to face the new challenges. "
