(2013), discrimination in the wage rate is directly connectedwith the diversification of gender between the male and female employees in the work place.In most of the cases, female employees are deprived of the power of leadership or seniorroles in the work place which indicates the gender gap in the society. Furthermore, thestereotyping concepts and stratification of the society ensure the wage discriminationbetween the male and female employees (Chzhen, Mumford and Nicodemo 2013). In thisresearch study, the wage discrimination and gender diversity in Sydney, Australia will becritically analyzed. The nature of the work place in Sydney will be evaluated relating to thediscrimination over gender and wage rate. Background of the study:From the study of the Australian Council of Trade Unions, it can be stated that maleemployee is getting more than 20% wage than a female employee which signifies the genderdiscrimination in Australia (ABC News 2017). In this perspective, it can be stated that genderpay gap is highest in Western Australia (24.9%) than the South Australia (10.3%)(wgea.gov.au 2017). The above statistics indicates the fact that the wage rate discriminationand gender diversity holds back the Australia. Moreover, the wage and gender inequality aremostly shown in the work place of Sydney, Australia. On the other hand, the femaleemployees still getting 82% compare to the wage of the male employees and the wagediscrimination is approximately 18% in the work place of Sydney (ABC News 2017).Furthermore, the female employee needs to work extra 65 days to get the same level of thewage of the male employee. The objectives of the research study are as follows:? To identify the nature of the employment practice in Sydney, Australia.? To critically analyze the reasons of gender diversity in the work place of Sydney.? To evaluate the reasons for wage discrimination between the male and femaleemployees in Sydney.? To assess the interrelationship between the wage discrimination and gender inequalityin the work place in Sydney, Australia.Problem statement:According to the survey report of the Australian government, there is 26% wage gapin the work place of Sydney relating to the gender discrimination (Wilkins 2017). Moreover,the social stratification in Sydney is the main hindrance of the female employee to get thehigher qualification and senior position in the work place (Westernsydney.edu.au 2017).However, the equity pay system is implemented in Sydney, but still; it is not practiced in reallife. As a result, the industries of Sydney are deprived of the creativity, innovation ideas,productivity and leadership ability of the female employees. Research questions:?
