One of the greatest threats faced by every U.S civilian irrespective of their age andother factors is the threat of Cancer. (Weir, 2016). Healthy People 2020, with their spontaneousresearches regarding the same have come up with more deft means of preventing and survivingthis great threat. The involvement of Healthy People 2020 has greatly reflected in the regularadvancements made in the research, detection, and treatment that have led to a lessened rate ofdeaths of people suffering from Cancer. According to one of their recent researches the rate ofdeaths of cancer patients can be brought down to half in the next five years through propertreatment and awareness. Their researches mainly circumscribe the incidents of cancer focusingon the moralities, survival opportunities and assessment of the plights faced by the increasingpopulation of United States that falls victim to Cancer every year(Healthy People 2020). The second stepwould be to involve the practises prevalent in the society that are positively or negatively relatedto the disease of Carcinoma. The third step would be to focus on the lifestyles and habits of themembers of the society that lead to the increase of decrease in the risk of Cancer. And last phasewould be to reward the virtuous members for their good habits. In the PRECEDE model the four phases that lay the foundation to the program are included. Thefirst Phase requires the accurate definition of the expected outcome. This phase is greatlydependant on what exactly is the needs of the community and what sort of Health improvementdoes it actually want to achieve ("Chapter 2.
