The effective management of working capital is neglected in thePakistan textile industry. Unfortunately, in our country, the textile industry owners are mostlyilliterate and do not know about the management of working capital. So this study will be useful forthem to know the different ways of managing working capital Su (Mekonnen, 2011) This researchesta determines the relationship between the performance of the textile business and the managementof working capital, as agreed in the Security Exchange Commission of Pakistan. The production andfurther expansion of the cotton textile industry in Pakistan has been impressive since 1947 bales ofcotton have increased by 1.1 million bales in 1947 to ten million bales by 2000. Since the policies of APTMA and effective leadership, cotton production this yearincreased by 15 million bales DESPITE 2.0 million bales lost due to flooding, compared to 11.7million bales last year , self-sufficient cotton industry hope Pakistan for the first time in 10 years. Thecotton textile industry was the first class of the industry in Pakistan and an important source of exportearnings and employment also helps to add value to the manufacturing sectors of the economy. From2011 to 2012, the textile industry contributes 8.5% of GDP, while 50% APTMA is 8.5% of thecontribution to GDP textiles (Economic Survey of Pakistan 2011-2012). APTMA directly employsone million workers and 3 million indirect jobs. Pakistan is the fourth largest cotton producer in theworld that 98% of 15 million bales of cotton are produced in Pakistan by members APTMA consume.The management and working capital efficiency is an important element in the final decision of thefinancial management.
