During thetraining period I have developed my skills and competences. The first week was mainly and introduction tothe office engineers and the projects that they are responsible for. In this week, occupational health andsafety was introduced along with the professional risks at sites and project procedures. The second weekwas introduction to engineering terminology and steps to supervise the implementation of the projects.During the third week, various maps are studied and learn about how to read maps properly. The fourth andfifth week was bout learning AutoCAD program. The final week was about learning the different materialsthat are used in the projects. This report covers the most important technical skills which are developedduring the training period. CHAPTER 11.1Introduction about the industry:Hill international is a global construction company. It is an American firm which was founded in 1976. Hill isa publicly traded corporation which provides professional services in construction industry. The currentheadquarters of this company is in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S. Hill provides its services the entireglobe, and it has many offices in the main regions of the world. This company has many services in projectmanagement and construction claims and consulting. 1.2 Location:The location of Hill International Company office in Oman is adjacent of the existing Muscat InternationalAirport. It is exactly at the north and east sides of it. It is approximately around 35 km west of the CapitalMuscat and it is next to the coast."
