Clinical Project Assessment-
Clinical Learning Contract and Project
Students are required to submit a written contract of the clinical project they may wish to undertake before they set out to achieve their contractual clinical learning.
Stage One: Preparation of Clinical Learning Contract - projected clinical project which forms the clinical outcome. The contract is written in consultation (forum discussion) with the lecturer/tutor concerned.
Stage Two: Submission of Clinical Learning Contract
Stage Three: 10 Forum Discussion with Facilitator if needed
Stage Four: Submission of Clinical Project
Structure and organization of essay:
Introduction:
- states the purpose/problem/ change practice to be addressed
- offers a brief background - states learning needs/objectives
- resources
Use of Literature:
- appropriate use of headings, paragraph, summary of literature findings
Work Practice Experience:
- discussion of findings relevant to project topic
Conclusion:
- summary of the completed project
Proposed Implementation of project
Selection of theoretical/conceptual material:
- appropriateness of theoretical position adopted
- uses literature findings to support their argument
- critiques different perspectives
- clarity of interpretation & analysis
Soundness of argument:
- development of a logical argument with substantiated ideas developed in a sequential manner
Use of literature:
- appropriate for the topic
- used to focus or support the point being discussed
- acknowledgment of source material
Clinical project:
- development of project
- appropriateness for change practice
- proposed implementation of change process
- evaluation of the proposed implementation
