Health Promotion Community Engagement
Task Description
Each individual student is required to write a final report that documents the project process of engaging with the community and the implementation and evaluation of the project.
The final report should conclude with a reflection of the experience of: a. working as part of a team and considering the feedback offered by peers and how you might respond to it in future placement and work settings, and b. project development/processes, experience and key learnings and how these may shape your future professional practice.

Introduction
Description and justification of health issues referring to relevant literature.
Description of the target population and their community.
Brief review of literature on past efforts to address the health issue in this population.
Aim and objectives of community engagement health promotion project (objectives should refer to community engagement process as well as specific strategy). Remember to include objectives for your health promotion team and for your community.
Community engagement process
Description and justification of the community engagement approach and framework (this should be linked to your target population, health issue, and objectives)
In depth description of your own community engagement strategies through the whole project process (planning, implementation, evaluation)
Health promotion strategy
Detailed description of health promotion strategy
What did you do, how did you do it, when did you do it?
How will you ensure sustainability?
Evaluation process
Detailed description of evaluation strategies
How did you measure the impact of your project?
What did you measure?
Who did you collect data from?

Project outcomes
How well were you able to implement your project (process evaluation)?
What were the barriers and enablers to your implementation and how did you/would you overcome them?
What impact did you have on addressing the health issue in the community (impact evaluation)?
Refer to evidence demonstrating your impact (e.g. surveys, focus group, feedback from community contact)
Conclusion
Reflect on your project aims and how well you achieved them.
Note any barriers or hurdles and how you overcame them or how you might have done things differently.
