This public research university provides opportunities for the students to team up on faculty led projects in the beginning of their freshman year. Among the scores of famous Mizzou alumni are singer Sheryl Crow, actors Jon Hamm and Brad Pitt, and playwright Tennessee Williams, who won Pulitzer Prize for A Street Car Named Desire.
