The school’s research expertise is a century-long tradition; on campus in the year 1909, Sigmund Freud gave his famous Clark Lectures about the psychoanalysis, and researchers of university have been responsible for discoveries which led to the birth control pill and formula for the wind-chill factor. The famous alumni of Clark University include Hugh Panero, the CEO of XM Satellite Radio; Matthew Goldman, the cofounder of performance art Blue Man Group; Jeffrey Lurie, the owner of the Philadelphia Eagles; and Padma Lakshmi, the host of Bravo’s Top Chef.
