History
•Opened by Queen Victoria in the year 1886, Royal Holloway was founded by Thomas Holloway, a Victorian entrepreneur and visionary.
•Became part of University of London in the year 1900 and then merged with Bedford College, college founded in the year 1849 as the first college in Great Britain for higher education of the women.
