History
•Bournemouth University's was originated in the early 1900s with foundation of the former Bournemouth Municipal College.
•The University's modern history began in the year 1976 with opening of Dorset Institute of Higher Education.
Location and transport
•The University lies at the center of Southern England largest non-industrial conurbation – in between the New Forest and Jurassic Coast.
•The two campuses, in Poole and Bournemouth, are served by the dedicated bus services.
