Effect of Temperature and Stress

The creep curve basic nature remains same at different stress level for various temperatures and vice-versa. Although, higher the temperature higher will be the creep strain for similar time laps and stress level. Similarly, for a specified temperature and similar lapse of time creep strain will be higher at higher stress level. Such effects are demonstrated in figure of Effect of Temperature and Stress on Creep. It might be observed as of this figure such steady state creep of stage II tend to as to be shorter as the stress or temperature increase at specified temperature or stress level respectively
