Scale:

 Scale is really a measuring stick, obtainable in a variety of shapes and sizes. It is made of wood, celluloid or steel or plastic. The scale generally utilized with students is 30 cm long and is generally flat along with beveled edges. An engineer's scale is as like measurements can be acquired to draw full size that is the length being the same both in the object and the drawing or else half size, one-tenth size. The major function of the scale is to transfer true or relative dimensions of any type of part of the object to the drawing. The scale must not be utilized as a straight edge for drawing the lines, like it is essentially a measuring device. For various other kinds of scales, refer to Section.
