Induction Motors:

The first crude type of poly phase induction motor was presented at the Frankfurt exhibition by Nikola Tesla in the year of 1891. Since then important improvements have been made in the design and quality of the induction motors and a big variety of single phase and three phase induction motors have been developed. In this section, we will discuss the constructional details, theories and operating characteristics of poly phase induction motors.
