How the water absorption volume and the water transpiration volume comparatively vary in plants in a day? What is the final comparative balance of these processes?

Throughout the day the transpired volume of water is higher than the volume absorbed by the roots. At night the condition get reverses and the roots absorb more water than the transpired volume. It is observed so as transpired and the absorbed volumes practically equal in a day.
