What do you mean listing of securities? Explain.
Listing of Securities: Listing means admission of the securities to dealings on a recognized stock exchange. Securities of any public limited company, state or central government, quasi government and other municipalities, financial institutions/corporations, etc.
When listing is granted to a company, it means that the securities are included in the official list of the stock exchange for purpose of trading. Security listing ensures that a company is solvent and its existence is legal. Government security isn't needed to be listed.
