What are the dietitians services

Dietitians are engaged in a variety  of  positions and  in a number of  work settings. Of course the largest proportion is  involved engaged in food service and in patient care within hospitals or outpatients. However, some dietitians do work in food service for students, in the hotel industry, in employee cafeterias (industrial canteens), food and pharmaceutical companies, as well as, in community and public health services/ departments. Some are also in private practice and may be self-employed. Nowadays dieticians are also involved in marketing, sales and journalism. If you examine these activities you will find that the dietitians services focus on :

-  Clinical services

-  Public health/community nutrition

-  Nutrition infomation/commuiiication

-  Food services

-  Wellness/disease  prevention

-  Nutrition  research.
