Described virtual memory

Ans: Data is to be stored in physical memory locations that have addresses different from those that specified by the program. The memory control circuitry translates the address specified by the program into an address that may be used to access the physical memory.

What is the mapping process adopted in the organization of a Cache Memory?

  •   Direct mapping.
  •   Associative mapping.
  •   Set-associative mapping

Give the format for primary memory address by using direct mapping function for 4096 blocks in primary memory and 128 blocks in cache with 16 blocks per cache.
