USMARC Format

There are three USMARC communication formats: 

US MARC format for bibliographic data (UFBD) 

US MARC format for authority data (UFAD) 

US MARC format for holdings and locations (UFHL) 

All the three US MARC formats  are implementations of ANSI Z39.2, American National Standard for Bibliographic Information Interchange on magnetic tape which conforms with the ISO 2709.
