Review of literature, Marketing Research

The review of literature is not mere reading for sake it is also not a causal reading like reading of a story or novel. It is focused and directed towards specific purposes. It is also selective. A researcher has to select the kinds of literature to be reviewed and determine the purpose for which he has to study them. The literature review starts with the selection of a problem for research continues through the various stages of the research process and ends with report writing.
