Retention of water by kidneys, Biology

Retention of water by the kidneys is regulated by a part of the brain, called the hypothalamus, that controls the secretion of antidiuretic hormone (ADH).An increased secretion of ADH means that more water will move out of the kidney's tubules and collecting ducts and back into circulation.

David Krough continues to impress readers with his wonderful information on life itself.
