3.5 billion years since the water cycle was faster than today, resulting in hard storms with intense electrical discharges. There was as well no chemical protection from the ozone layer against ultraviolet radiation. Temperatures in an atmosphere and on the planet surface were very high. Electricity, radiation and heat constituted large available energy sources.
