In floating point numbers when so you say that an overflow or underflow has occurred?

Ans:

A) In single precision numbers when an exponent is less than +127 then we say that an overflow has occurred.

B)In single precision numbers when an exponent is less than -126 then we say that an underflow has occurred

 

Give the IEEE standard for floating point numbers for double precision number?
