Name the main marketing communication disciplines or tools

There are five main marketing communication disciplines or tools: advertising, sales promotion, personal selling (see EBS Sales Force Management text), public relations and direct marketing. Additionally, there are media in which time and space can be bought or used to deliver messages to target audiences. Appropriate mix of these tools and the choice of media have for a long time been largely predictable. Distinct mixes could be identified for business-to-consumer (b2c) and business-to-business (b2b) audiences.
