Methods of contacting sources, HR Management

Assignment Help:

Methods of contacting sources: after the finalization of sources from where the prospective candidates will be selected, the process of contacting these sources starts. Recruitment is a two way street; it involves recruiter and recruit. A recruiter has the choice of whom, to recruit based on the various information about the candidates. In the same way, a recruit may have information about the information about the organization to decide whether to joint it or not. Therefore, before making the contact with the sources, particularly the external ones, the organization must decide the information which must be shared with the candidates. In this context, there are three alternative theories which explain how a candidate arrives at a decision to choose an organization to join. There are: objective factor theory, subjective factor theory, and critical contact theory. The objective factor theory views the process of organizational choice as being one of weighting and evaluating a set of measurable characteristics of employment offers, offers, such as, financial compensation and benefits opportunities for advancement, nature of work, location etc.
