Absence of vesicular glands

In some bulls the vesicular glands are either absent or hypoplastic also sometimes accompanied by poorly developed ampullae. A characteristic symptom of such bulls is the production of very small volumes of semen which may possess fertilizing ability. Nevertheless, such bulls should not be retained as the abnormality can be inherited.
