Q. What are the major endocrine glands of the human body?

The major endocrine glands of the human body are the hypophysis (or pituitary), the pineal gland (or pineal body), the thyroid, the parathyroids, the endocrine part of the pancreas, the adrenals and the gonads (testicles or ovaries).

Other organs like the placenta, the kidneys and the heart also have endocrine functions.
