A device called a hemocytometer is often used to estimate the number of cells in a culture. Cells are suspended in fluid. A small volume of the fluid is placed into a special chamber (see Figure 5.23). For the sperm cells shown in Figure 5.23, what was the concentration of cells in the suspension (cells per milliliter)?
