Flash point test, Civil Engineering

Flash Point Test:

The flash point is the temperature at which the bitumen gives off vapours which ignite in the presence of a flame. The flash point temperature gives the critical value of temperature above which the material has potential fire hazards and further heating should be discontinued. The set-up is given in Figure.
