1.     Facial Expression - smile, frown, eye contact, raise or lowering eyebrows, squinting,  clench jaw / fist.

2.     Gesture and Posture - gestures are body movements that can be voluntary or spontaneous. Exp thumbs up / down, leaning forward, pulling away. Posture - sitting straight vs slouching, fidgeting.

3.     Vocal characteristics

Volume is the loudness of the voice. Pitch is the high or low of the voice. Pace is the speed one talks at. Tone is the characteristics of the sound / voice.

4.     Personal Appearance

A person's body type and facial features can impose limitations, but most people are able to control their appearance to some degree through grooming, clothing, accessories and style. If your goal is to make a good impression, adopt the style of the people you want to impress.

5.   Touch

Touch is an important way to convey warmth and reassurance. Exp are handshakes, pat on the back, hugs etc.

6. Time and Space

This can be used to assert authority or imply intimacy.  Making other people wait shows a person trying to demonstrate their own importance and disregard others. Being on time implies respect for others.

The proximity or distance we stand when speaking to someone suggest the type of relationship we have with the other party. The decision to respect or violate someone's "private space" is another powerful non verbal signal.
