Explain Le Chateliers Principle

Le Chatelier′s Principle is the principle when a stress is going to applied on a chemical system at equilibrium, the equilibrium will be shift to relieve the stress.

Examples: Stress could be many things:

  • changes in concentration
  • changes in temperature
  • changes in pressure.

An increase in the amount of reactants will shift the equilibrium to produce more products.
