Assignment Help:

What is a financial ratio?

A financial ratio is a number that denotes the value of one financial variable that is relative to another.  Put much more simply, a financial ratio is the result you obtain when you divide one financial number by another. Calculating an individual ratio is easy, but every ratio should be analyzed carefully to efficiently measure a firm's performance.
