Example of Logical built-in functions:
For equivalent to all the function, we should make sure that the entire elements in the vector are logically true. The one way of doing this is to count how many elements are true, and then contrast the count to the number of elements in the vector. Recall that any non-zero value can be used to present the concept of true.
>> myall(vec1)
ans =
1
>> myall(vec2)
0
>> myall(vec3)
Refer the subset of a matrix: It is also possible to refer to the subset of a matrix. For illustration, this refers to the first & second rows, second & third columns: >> m
If I have a vector representing the packed storage form of a symmetric matrix, how do I perform a cholesky factorisation on that?
Labels and Prompts: The script loads all the numbers from file into a row vector. It then splits the vector; it stores the initial element that is the experiment number in a v
Types of User-defined Functions: We know how to write a user-defined function, stored in an M-file, which computes and returns one value. This is merely one type of the functi
Three-Dimensional Plots: The MATLAB has many functions which will display three-dimensional plots. Most of these functions have similar name as corresponding two-dimensional p
Illustration of Labels and prompts: The program below prompts the user for endpoints (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) of a line segment, and computes the midpoint of the line segment, th
How do I write a product series running from i to n of x''s using a for loop?
Standard Deviation The standard deviation is the square root of variance: The built-in function in a MATLAB for the standard deviation is known as std; the standard dev
Example of Minimum and Maximum Value For matrices, the functions min and max operate column wise by the default: >> mat = randint(2,4,[1 20]) mat = 9 10 1
Illustration of Logical vectors: Calling the function appears to return similar vector as simply vec > 5, and summing the result still works to determine how many elements wer
