ERC and KPI

The company requires understanding the strategic and nearing term impact of the Regulator's orders / tariff approval process. Once these dimensions are understood, the company would be in a position to develop its key performance indicators (KPI) to ensure in which the adherence to business guidelines set out through the Regulator is practiced and the organization can at least end up at the similar line as set out through the regulator.

The key performance indicators (KPIs) in the era of ERCs at the organization level are:

i) Energy Utilization/ Energy drawl

ii) Metered Sales

iii) Demand Raised (adjusted for actual input)

iv) Revenue collections

v) Losses

vi) Distribution Transformer Failures.
