1. If the design tolerance limits for the process are 9.7/11.2, determine the process capability indices Cp and Cpk. Comment on the values obtained. 

2. 1000 items produced by a process considered to be stable are inspected and 75 defectives are found. Assuming an average sample size of 100 is to be used for control purposes, determine the p-chart control limits. If, later, 14 defectives are found in a sample of 85 what conclusion can be drawn?
