Demerits of lectures, HR Management

Assignment Help:

Q. Demerits of lectures?

1 in this method we can find only passive participants as it only provides for learning and not doing.

2 there is no feedback from the audience due to one way communication.

3 sometimes it becomes less effective since the management personnel or the trainers often lack the time of preparation.

4 normally a listener can pay attention only for 15-20 minutes and later gets distracted.

5 whenever a listener is uninformed it becomes difficult to stimulate a discussion following a lecture.

6 the listeners may get confused when an untrained lecturer lacks information or provides more information than required.

7 common listeners may not understand an extremely professionals presentation and therefore it must be prepared in such a way that it is easily understood.

8 sometimes the lecture may concentrate more on the facts and figures and ignore the actual application of the knowledge.

9 the same material may not be applicable to individuals at times while it may be applicable to a group.
