What are major difference between classic ADO and ADO.NET ?

Some major differences between the classic ADO & ADO.NET are as follows:

1) As in the classic ADO we had server and client side cursors they are no more present in the ADO.NET. Keep in mind that it is a disconnected model so they are no more applicable.

2)The Locking is not supported due to disconnected model.

3)All the data persist in XML as compared to the classic ADO where data is  persisted in the Binary format only.
